Website Update

Hi All, just a quick website update to explain a couple of things.

Delivery Notes now mandatory

As we deliver most of our bikes unboxed, having eyes on the bikes and knowing which is which is really important. To combat any chance of confusing where a bike has come from or is going to, we are now asking you to note a decription of your bike(s) along with any delivery notes. Just a make and model is fine. Colour even better! This information then gets passed to the driver who is much more efficient if he has eyes on the bike and a description of it.

Thanks for your understanding on this. We are constantly looking at ways to either improve our service or make sure it doesn’t fail.

Postcode formats

Our postcode lookup is a massive list of districts (circa 2700) vs surcharges. When you enter a delivery postcode we do our best to strip out the first half of the postcode to give us a district which we then use to check if a surcharge has to be applied. In 99% of times this seems to work fine but due to the various lengths of letter and digit combos UK postcodes have plus some users enter codes with a space some not, getting it right 100% of the time is a challenge.

If the system rejects your postcode, please try it with a space in the correct location first. That normally gets around any erroneous codes but if the system persists then get in touch and speak to Paul quoting the type of bike you are trying to book and the postcode you are using. We’ll attempt to resolve the issue for you ASAP.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the next website update as it happens.
