How to prepare your bike for shipping
- Give it a clean
Nobody wants to receive a dirty bike do they? Not even us, so do the right thing. You can do this simply with some warm water and a sponge – just be sure to be extra careful around the components of the bike and avoid water ingress around bearings where possible. When done, dry the bike with a microfibre cloth. - Remove the pedals
With a basic set of tools, you can unscrew and remove both of the pedals. A 15mm spanner or 5, 6 0r 8mm hex key, depending on your pedal type are usually sufficient. Remember the left pedal has a left-hand thread ie. it undoes clockwise. Once removed, pop them in an accessories box to be sent with the bike. Our drivers will refit them at the point of delivery. - Turn the bars
If you can undo the stem and turn the bars sideways it will help our drivers but if you don’t know how, no problem, our drivers can do it for you at the point of collection. Again, the bars will be reset at the point of delivery.

Where you save time and money
On the face of it, you may not see where you save when you use our service. In fact, savings are kind of hidden.
As there is no disassembly or reassembly required, you save time and time is money. Additionally, traditional couriers often charge high insurance premiums on top of their delivery charge if you want peace of mind. That often makes the cost of their service more expensive than ours. Our customers enjoy a no loss, no damage promise with insurance included in the price.
And the big one. Traditional couriers routinely damage bikes in boxes due to the way they handle them. Our trained drivers always have eyes on your bike therefore they will intuitively look after it. Think of the cost of our service an insurance premium for peace of mind. A small price to pay compared to the hassle and cost of resolving a damaged bike in a box.
